Incremental Upgrade (OTA)
- On the Halo device information page, you can click the version number to check for updates. If an update is available, a message will pop up. Click "Update" to start the upgrade. Do not power off during the process. Wait for the progress to reach 100%, and the device will automatically restart.
Full Upgrade (USB)

If a full upgrade firmware is released, you need to connect the Halo to a computer via USB to perform the upgrade.
tip- During a full upgrade, your previous settings will not be preserved. All settings will be restored to default.
- Download the USB flashing tool
flash_download_tool.- Click the download links below.

- Download the firmware Halo Firmware Download
- Open
flash_download_tool_3.9.4.exe. Note: When opening the flashing tool, a CMD window will pop up first, followed by the flashing tool interface. Do not close the CMD window. - In the flashing tool, for
ChipType:, selectESP32-S3. - In the flashing tool, for
WorkMode:, selectDevelop. - In the flashing tool, for
LoadMode:, selectUSB. - Finally, click
OK. Refer to Figure 1 below.
tip- The
green highlighted areain Figure 2 above must match the image exactly. Do not modify it yourself.
- Connect the Halo to your computer using a USB Type-C cable.
- Click the
blue area 1button in Figure 2 above to select the firmware you downloaded. - Click the
blue area 2in Figure 2 above to select the Halo's COM port. (If it's not visible, you can hold down theBbutton on the back of the Halo and then connect it to the computer.) - Click the
blue area 3in Figure 2 above to start flashing. Wait for the flashing to complete, then restart the Halo to finish the full upgrade. (You must wait for the prompt that the flashing is complete before disconnecting the Halo's cable.)
