Connecting to Host Computer via SSH

  • This document is only applicable to FLY host computers
  • If compiling or flashing firmware, please refer to the network connection tutorial instead of the serial connection tutorial
  • You can connect to the device via serial port or Wi-Fi
  • Please prepare MobaXterm_Personal or other SSH terminal tools in advance
  • Ensure that the SD card or M2WE has the corresponding host computer system flashed
  • If the host computer fails to start normally, remove drivers, limit switches, fans, and other peripherals!!!
  • Finally, connect via network to SSH for easier firmware compilation!!
  • To compile firmware, please refer to the tutorial for connecting the host computer via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable

  • Ensure the system card has the corresponding system flashed; otherwise, it will not boot

Installing the Antenna

  1. Install the antenna for the M2WE or 2.4G WiFi module
warning
  • The FLY host computer requires an M2WE or 2.4G WiFi module; otherwise, Wi-Fi cannot be used
  • Note: The host computer does not support Wi-Fi with Chinese names or dual-band (2.4G and 5G) combined Wi-Fi
  • The location indicated by the red arrow is the Wi-Fi antenna interface
  • The Wi-Fi antenna port is ipex1
  • Install the antenna onto the M2WE; otherwise, poor signal may prevent connection to the router

Power Supply

  • Connect the FLY host computer to the computer using a USB Type-C cable
  • Ensure the USB Type-C cable supports data transfer!
  • After the system boots, the indicator light will flash rapidly!!
  • Flashing indicates the system has started

Connecting via SSH

Connect to Host Computer SSH via Serial Port Using Webpage

  • After connecting the host computer to the computer via USB, click Device Connection below.

  • If normal, USB Serial or other similar devices will be displayed.

  • Select the corresponding device, then click Connect.

  • A prompt will appear upon successful connection.

  • FlyOS-FAST default username is root, default password is mellow.

  • Starting from version V1.3.2, the FAST system uses serial connection with double-click or pressing Enter twice for automatic login.

  • After pressing Enter, the following content will appear:

  • The FAST system updated the style below after version V1.3.0.
