OTA System Update Guide

This document details the OTA (Over-The-Air) update functionality of the FlyOS-Fast system, helping you upgrade your system safely and conveniently.

Version Support Notes

  • V1.3.0 and above: Supports OTA online update function
  • V1.3.3 and above: Adds USB drive system update method

Built-in Service Version Notes

The FlyOS-Fast system includes built-in mainstream services such as Klipper, RRF, Mainsail, Fluidd, Moonraker, and KlipperScreen. These services follow the following version management strategy during system packaging:

Targeted Optimization

We have performed specific targeted optimizations on core services such as Klipper, Mainsail, Fluidd, Moonraker, and KlipperScreen to enhance system stability and printing performance.

Important Warning

Do not manually upgrade or replace these services. Manual changes will invalidate the targeted optimizations, potentially affecting system stability and feature compatibility. For updates, please obtain the latest version through the official OTA method.

Version Timeliness Guarantee

All service components integrated during system packaging are the latest official versions at the time of build, with a version delay controlled within 48 hours.

Update Strategy

During the system image compilation phase, the latest stable versions are pulled from each service's official repository for integration. An intelligent update strategy is adopted: Any files or repositories that have been modified will skip the update and retain the existing version.

Precautions

Due to the time required for system build and testing processes, the service versions integrated in the actual released system image may differ from the latest official version by up to two days. This is normal. If you have specific version requirements or questions, please contact technical support.
