Fly Buffer Plus Firmware Update
Version Notes: If your current Fly Buffer Plus firmware version is V2.0.0 or higher, there is no need to flash the BOOT firmware. You can directly update the main firmware using the web tool.
This document describes how to update the firmware for the Fly Buffer Plus expansion board. The firmware update consists of two steps:
- Use the DFU tool to flash the BOOT firmware
- Use the web tool to flash the main firmware
Preparation
Downloading Firmware
Visit the following link to download the Fly Buffer Plus firmware:

This link contains two files:
BOOTfirmware: Used for the underlying bootloaderMain firmware: Used for the main functionality of the device
Entering DFU Mode
- Connect the device to the computer using a Type-C cable
- Press and hold the BOOT button on the Fly Buffer Plus board
- Press the RESET button
- Release the RESET button, then release the BOOT button
- The device will now be in DFU mode

Flashing the BOOT Firmware
Refer to the following document to complete the BOOT firmware flashing:
Note: Ensure you use the DFU tool to flash the BOOT firmware, not the main firmware.
Flashing the Main Firmware
Checking Device Status
- Check the device indicator light status
- In normal flashing mode, the indicator light within the red box should be blinking
- If it is not blinking, re-enter DFU mode

Performing the Flash
- Access the firmware update tool page
- Click the Flash Firmware button
- Select the Fly Buffer Plus device, then click Connect
- Once connected, click Select Firmware and choose the downloaded main firmware file
- Click Start Flashing
- Wait for the flashing to complete; the device will restart automatically
Tip: Do not disconnect the device during the flashing process, as this may cause firmware damage.
