Screen Version Determination

  • Check if the chip shown in the image below is present on the back of the screen.
  • If present, your screen is the new model and supports self-updating firmware.
  • Comparison of old and new screen models is as follows:

The update supports the following features:

  • Direct firmware updates without entering DFU mode.
  • Screen angle configuration (e.g., 180° or 0°).
  • Audio output.
  • Backlight brightness adjustment.

BOOT Firmware Download (for Updating Bootloader)

Entering Programming Mode (for Flashing BOOT Firmware)

You can enter programming mode on the screen using any of the following methods:

  • Method 1:

    1. Connect the screen to your computer using a Type-C cable.
    2. Hold down the BOOT button on the back of the screen, briefly press the RST button, and then release BOOT.
  • Method 2:

    1. Hold down the BOOT button on the back of the screen.
    2. Connect the Type-C cable between the screen and the computer, then release the BOOT button.

Updating Main Firmware (Product Firmware)

Download Firmware

  • You can obtain the main firmware via the following links:
  • The main firmware is located in the following path within the compressed package:
    FLY-Firmware/Screen/HDMI/Product-Firmware

Entering Programming Mode

  • Connect the screen to your computer using a Type-C cable that supports data transfer.
  • Double-press the RST button on the back of the screen.
  • If the State indicator on the screen starts blinking, it indicates successful entry into programming mode.

Start Update

  • Open this link to use the dedicated flashing tool.
  • Click Flash Firmware, then follow these steps:
    1. Click Select Device, and choose FLY-HDMI-LCD from the pop-up list.
    2. Click Select Firmware, browse and select the firmware file downloaded from FLY-Firmware/Screen/HDMI/Product-Firmware.
    3. Click Start Flashing, and wait for the process to complete. Upon success, the screen will automatically restart.

Note:

  • If this is your first update or you need to update the bootloader, first use the "BOOT Firmware Download" and corresponding "Entering Programming Mode" to flash the BOOT firmware.
  • Subsequent main firmware updates can then directly follow the method provided in the "Updating Main Firmware" section.
